Die brasilianische Fotografin Ella Durst bewegt sich seit mehr als 30 Jahren auf dem fotorafischen Terrain. Ella absolvierte ihr Studium im Bereich Film an der School of Communication and Arts. An der University of
São Paulo absolvierte sie ein Aufbaustudium in Semiotik und ästhetischer Fotografie. Während diesem Zeitraums arbeitete sie als Videofilmer bei TV Cultura in São Paulo.
Seit 1976 arbeitet sie als professionelle Fotografin für das Jornal da Tarde und weiteren Zeitungen und Zeitschriften.
Elle:
How did you get into Fashion Photography?
Ella Durst:
I’m not exactly a Fashion Photographer, I’ve been more an AD Photographer, but I’ve beginning in the 70th years making photos for a weekly fashion publication in a magnificent news paper we had I’m Brazil called “ Jornal da Tarde“.
Elle:
Would you give a brief walk through your work flow?
Ella Durst:
After these beginning, I want survive in the photographic market and for many reasons, at those days, the advertising was the best choose. I always wanted to be a photographer….The subject doesn’t matter since I can make something beautiful about that.
Elle:
How has your shooting style and work ethic changed in time?
Ella Durst:
About my shooting style,…I always had made what seems the most personal way to show what I want. My work ethic, …I hardly want it never change!!
Elle:
Who would you like to work with the most?
Ella Durst:
I don’t think I’ve had those chance….
