Tell us about your background and how you came to be a photographer?
I do photos for a few years, I’m a amateur photographer, a definition that I marry because I love photography with all of myself. I started as an autodidact, I did some workshops, but it is something that follows me every day, because in reality I see photos everywhere, often I try to recreate the images that I have in my mind.
Your statement to the conflict Israeli – Palestinian?
My position is that of a convinced pacifist, and although it is a war far away from us, I think we give a picture of hope serves to look beyond the limits of mental persons. I don’t believe that photography can never change things, but sometimes it can take a big miracle to get people to reflect. Love often has a much longer eye of prejudice, as evidenced by a movement born later on Twitter that is called “jews and arabs refuse to be enemies’.
Where did you take that image?
The photo on the Israeli-Palestinian is a picture that is part of a series of photographies titled “the kisses that I would,” made for an Italian newspaper on-line, the Repubblica.It. A couple of weeks before the 6July this newspaper that in the past has already published some of my works, asked me to create a series of photos for the “World Kiss Day”, so I decided to take pictures with the subject in opposition to one another or from far worlds. I send tuo the link to see them all. There are children with soccer jerseys of opposing teams, the Beatles versus the Rolling Stone, an alpine and a sub, a lumberjack kissing a tree instead of cutting it, a punk and a yuppie, a soldier with a pacifist. The two who have done more discuss are a Nazi general who kisses a deported and the kiss between Israelis and Palestinians. All of the photos are obviously built, made close to home with the help of acquaintances, friends and done in the days. The one you day bad an eco all over the world ,a lot of people wrote me to compliment, as many sites and pages that have shared have even thanked me for the traffic that the photo has created! I have received heavy at times by Muslims who said they were offended by this that for them is a pornographic picture! Actually the photo is just a wish peace between two peoples who claim an absurd war, as is any war.
